Helped by Yzak and his team, the Mobile Suits sent to Junius 7 succeed in planting explosives and destroying the old colony before it falls on the Earth, however many large fragments are still hurtling towards Earth at a dangerous rate. The Minerva follows the falling debris in an attempt to prevent the fragments from breaking through the atmosphere, while Shinin and Athrun remain behind to detonate the last set of explosives, in the hope of destroying the last few fragments. The question is, will it all be enough or is it simply too little, too late?

V1 of Gundam Seed Destiny threatened to be somewhat of a retread, firmly giving the audience exactly what they wanted, looking flashier, but lacking the x-factor that made the first series a flat out classic.
Here is where the rug is pulled from under the audience and all the aforementioned preconceptions. Things start amping up massively and the results are looking rather tasty indeed.
V3 please! Soooon!
