    Awesome!

This is the first Gundam I have seen and I was very impressed. The battle scenes are excellent and all the tech stuff on the Gundams and space ships are superb. I can see why the francise has done so well. I am now going to work my way through the rest of the Gundam off-shoots.

Good if you've never seen Gundam before, theres better out there!!

While an OK series, which tries to emulate the world created by Yoshiyuki Tomino and others in the original UC time line, Seed fails with rehash mecha designs, poor scripting, as well as a director with too love much for flashbacks (every 5 minutes!!!). The animation is garish and bright lacking the quality of 0083 and 8th MS. The character animation consists of the same face with a variety of clothing and hair changes. Each character uses the same 4 expressions for everything, plus they are largely a bunch of emo's who would be pawned by the likes of Amuro, Char and Camille from UC. The main villain is yet another Char clone; no he’s more of a Zech’s clone (not good enough to impersonate Char).

While the series does manage to break away from being a UC rip-off/re-telling, it lacks something that keeps it back among the likes of Gundam Wing and ZZ Gundam instead of being an equal to MSG, Zeta, Victory and Turn A.

I enjoyed the series but prepare to boil over if you used to classic Gundam. Watch at your own risk : )
