Read Conn Iggulden's Conqueror series instead

This film follows Ghenghis through his early life. We learn nothing about how he became one of the most successful military leaders of all time. The film prefers to romanticize, focusing on tree-hugging mystical BS and his romance with Bort (Behind every great man blah blah blah). Seems to think Genghis won every battle by praying to the Sky Father.

Don't bother with this, read Conn Iggulden's Conqueror series instead. A fascinating all be it fictionalized account of the Great Khan's rise to world domination.
