Who's who of British comedy
Star-studded line-up
Perhaps I watched a different version to the other reviewers, but this is in no way a 5 Star DVD.
It does have a wealth of talented stars but the comedy is very hit and miss. Many sketches repeat a not very punchline over and over and some are just not funny full-stop. The best sketches are Steve Coogan as the Toy Shop Owner and John Thomson's swearing chef but most jokes fall very flat.
This has to be the most mediocre project Vic and Bob have ever been involved in. I'm a huge fan of pretty much all the talent involved here, but for some reason 'Monkey Trousers' is a below-average piece of work.
It isn't terrible, but don't expect much from it. I'd rent 'The Day Today', 'The Fast Show' or 'Big Train' if you want some inspired British sketch comedy.
funny, but not as good as the 1st disc
