[Highly rated reviewer]This is a very well put together dvd compliation. As i understand it , the python team chose the their fav clips themselves. Also, lucky the choices seem to be what i'd choose. at of 6 hours long it still made me laugh loads! brilliant! where can i buy it! this is from the best madcap comedy, sketch show ever! love it, more, bravo!

Python still good - it has not ceased to be!By Valiant016 (52 reviews) from Lytham St. Annes , 07 Jun 2011Classic Python.
I enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed it back in the 1960's & 1970's
the humor is still fresh and still works!
If you have never seen it (You must be on a desert island)
Then rent or buy it now!
A Comedy InstitutionBy a customer from Sleaford , 22 Mar 2011At times it is slapstick, silly, surreal and down right side splitting. If you have any interest in comedy which exploits people's inherent love of everything silly, get this boxset. Dont however expect that this will be thoughtless humour. Infact the wit and subtle mockeries of British society, the media and and odd observation of the human form is possible the greatest part of any Monty sketch. Rent this, you will not be disappointed !
I love Monty Python, but...By a customer from London , 03 Jun 2009This first disc really didn't do it for me. There were a few of the classic sketches but with a lot of the ones that are less funny/more dated interspersed.
Highlights were 'upper class twit of the year' and the dead parrot sketch.
Too many of the animations for me, but if you like that part of the repertoire then go for it!
Has Not Aged WellBy a customer from Belfast , 01 Jun 2009As a child in the 1970s I enjoyed the Python series. However revolutionary they might have been at the time, they just aren't very engaging or funny in the 21st century. Many comedies are still funny decades later, but the 'Circus isn't one of them. For research purposes only.
Really enjoyed thisBy a customer from Birmingham , 07 May 2009Really enjoyed this and so did my 8 year old
