    Ignore online reviews!!

Gackt and Hyde are famous japanese pop/rock stars and many online reviews tend to talk more about them than the movie or worse slate the movie for having them in it. I am a big fan of both Gackt and Hyde but managed to forget they were in it to get 'in touch' with the characters they played. I suggest any fan does the same. This movie isn't a pure gangster movie as often described, it is a story about friendship during hardships. It's a wonderful movie I really recommend. Great gunplay, humour and very touching.

    A Moving Story

Set in the not too distant future, Moon Child is a story of two friends who have to deal with life as outsiders in a failing international city. The main characters are played but Gackt Camui (Sho) and Hyde (Kei) both huge stars in Japan. Kei is a vampire and when his old mentor dies he needs to find a new friend to spend eternity with. He meets Sho as a child and they grow up together. There are some fantastic scenes of gun fights, with Gackt jumping around. Also some extremely moving scenes, especially when a character dies or recalls an event in the past. As time goes on, the characters change and move apart, untill it all comes down to the last fight.... Whoever lives takes care of the families. This is a film about overcoming adversity in hard times and about frindship and how it can either make you strong or weak. A must see for any Jpop/Rock fan and anyone how likes action movies or sad films.
