Gackt and Hyde are famous japanese pop/rock stars and many online reviews tend to talk more about them than the movie or worse slate the movie for having them in it. I am a big fan of both Gackt and Hyde but managed to forget they were in it to get 'in touch' with the characters they played. I suggest any fan does the same. This movie isn't a pure gangster movie as often described, it is a story about friendship during hardships. It's a wonderful movie I really recommend. Great gunplay, humour and very touching.
Im going to be really biased with this film because I adore Gackt and im rather fond of Hyde too. As I loved every minute of watching one of my favourite singers on the planet act for over an hour and a half ofcourse I was delighted. That aside, I have tried my best to give an impartial review of this motion picture for those who dont know (or care) who the two rock/pop stars are. Firstly dont take it too seriously..just go along for the ride and appreciate it for what it is...a modern story of a vampire and love and friendship. Its quite comical in parts (intentionally) and it has some pretty touching moments. Its pure entertainment and I believe anyone would like this. Its easy on the eye and certainly worth a viewing. It is a Japanese film so dont expect a Hollywood blockbuster, however I think it is all the better for being precisely not that.
