(677)Spacy head to Moon, but misses...
By FullofStars (41 reviews) from Scotland , 04 May 2013The biggest flaw in this passable sci-fi, with more than a passing nod to 2001: A Space Oddyessy, is in the casting. They missed a trick by not casting Kevin Spacy in the lead role instead of as a 10 foot tall toaster oven! However, Rockwell is well suited to the droning, dull and lonesome lead role but the film never really gets out of 2nd gear. Still it explores an original storyline, without ever really getting the crux of the issue until the ending credits. Worth a watch.- Was this review helpful to you?

Over the Moon
By Bobsview (549 reviews) from Gloucestershire , 07 Mar 2013Lone man in space station discovers he is only a clone and has a fabricated duplicated memory. Impressive set and the story is nicely paced and unsettling. Great score (Clint Mansell). Quite good actually. Need to watch it twice to really appreciate it.- Was this review helpful to you?

If you liked The American
By a customer , 13 Feb 2013Thoughtful and thought provoking low budget sci-fi; quiet and moving. I'm still thinking about it months later. There's not a lot of action- it's light years from Star Wars. Moon is one of my favourite films-in all genres- Was this review helpful to you?

Moon is a Sci-Fi gem!
By Katelucy (13 reviews) from Leeds , 10 Feb 2013Moon slowly pulls you in and gets better and better along the way. You really feel for the main character as his story unfolds a must watch for any Sci-Fi fan. The story unfolds on a mineral mining base on the MOON which appears to be mostly automated apart from one lone human resident (Sam Rockwell) and his assistant robot (Kevin Spacey). Both actors performances are top draw throughout the movie and although one is a robot his voice suits the role so well. As things unfold it appears he may not be alone and the corporation he works for are keeping something from him. Nothing more can be said without potentially spoiling the movie apart from the music is also fantastic and suits this film well and that this is thoughtful sci-fi unlike recent titles such as Total Recall,Dredd, Battleship etc which focus on effects and action to try and mask the lack of script and often poor acting. This film is a lesson on how it can be done right on a modest budget. To summarise watch this film its great in so many ways. Hope this helps.- Was this review helpful to you?

Thought Provoking Science Fiction
By HammerHead (2 reviews) , 05 Feb 2013I enjoyed this film I think particularly because you expect it to take the same format to so many other films set in similar situations. I can't say too much more without giving spoilers but if you want fast action with great special affects, this film IS NOT for you. If you want a more thought provoking science fiction film, then this may well be for you.- Was this review helpful to you?
