Under appreciated gem
By a customer from Scotland , 17 Mar 2007[Highly rated reviewer]
Something of a forerunner to the better known Space: 1999 but with no alien invaders, no glowing blobs of light - this is serious sci fi 1973 style and a very much under appreciated gem of a series.
The storylines are well written, quite realisic and thoughtful, with some fine acting from all the main players. Much is made of the character interactions and the inevitable stresses and tensions thta srise from living and working on the moon. Younger viewers will probably find it too dated, slow moving and lacking in action to be enjoyable however.
Fans of Space: 1999's first season should definitely check this out.- Was this review helpful to you?

(12)Serious attempt but just plain silly
By Darrenhf (12 reviews) from Oxford , 18 Feb 2011This is one of the BBC's attempts at a serious, believable science fiction show. Nothing, however is believable from the silly accents to the stodgy dialogue to the stupid characters to the variable special effects that certainly show their age on DVD.
This is for science fiction completists only.- Was this review helpful to you?
