    [Highly rated reviewer]

This series becomes more and more frustrating. The latest series (10) must be one of the worst I have seen. Not only have they ditched quite a few of their regular team (David Wells, Richard Felix, Jon the cameraman and John the soundman) but they have employed new people who are not at all suited to the programme.

The worst offender is the new 'Historian' Lesley Smith. In all aspects, she tries to take over the show (from asking questions aloud and discussing history to conducting seances) but her worst feature (apart from that really huge wart on her top lip, which is very off-putting) is that she plays up for the camera at every opportunity. When doing the 'overview' of the history of the chosen location, she could not ham it up more even if she were wearing a Miss Piggy outfit. During the vigils, she is constantly screaming and trying to get the camera(s) to focus on her.

Talking of screaming, yes, little fat Kath is still there. With her miserable face and constant moaning, she spoils every scene she's in. Every time something decent begins and they hear a moan, groan or furniture move, she legs it as quick as she can. She keeps whining in EVERY programme 'I don't like it here', well we don't like you there either Kath, so go back to doing what you're rubbish at - hair and make up.

At every opportunity someone i shouting 'Did you hear that' or 'Can you hear that' when we (the viewer) are completely oblivious to any noises. Yes, there are a couple of 'whiney' noises but not the growls, grunts, moans, bumps and bangs they all seem to be hearing. They either need better microphones or they're making it up.

As for the 'guest' psychics, I can only sum up Brian Shepherd in one word. RUBBISH. He mutters a lot, says 'errrrrrr' and 'eeermm' quite a bit and seems to take his cue from whatever Yvette is saying. When she asks the age of a 'spirit' he says 'quite a while ago'. She then asks 'do you mean like 50 years or 100 years' he says 'yes, 50 years'. It's as if she has to prime him all the time. He keeps looking shocked and startled and says 'there's a presense here'. Well Brian, you should know that already as you're a psychic! Why do psychics all jump with fright when they hear a noise or moan? They've already said 'someone' is in the room with them so they should be aware of what's coming.

And dont get me started on the swearing! Every other word is the 'F' word in this programme. They have decided to bleep out most profanities (including the word 'God' can you believe) yet they find it appropriate to leave the 'S' word in! As there is so much swearing, bleeping and screaming going on, you have no chance of trying to listen out for the noises they reckon that they hear.

This is becoming very old hat now and if the team are going to run away at every opportunity from noises instead of investigating them (which is the whole point of the programme) then I will not be watching any more of Most Haunted. There is no point.

the most haunted series was the creator in ghost hunting tv series, it is entertaining, even though you know that some of it is completely false, and Yvette was often a pain as an entertainer.

    worth watching tho

I used to love this programme but now a joke.To many people involved now with no personality whatsoever between them. Seems now all they do is persist in goading the so called spirits and when they get a supposed reaction they act ott hysterical. Makes me think now if the whole thing is rigged! Shame, early days with just Derek and Yvette was very watchable.

Everything that has been said already is true! I would like to say, there is way too much bleeping/ swearing in the new series, its kind of hard to understand whats actually going on. I think its time most haunted got a real team, that are not scared, and are actually going to INVESTIGATE on the ghost hunt. After all, they are looking for ghosts so why are they looking for something they are all going to crap themselves about and run away from? I think in order for most haunted to get their act together and actually find some ghosts, they need a fearless team, a beleivable medium, and a better SOUND TECHNICIAN! Loved the show in general though!

Most Haunted in general is an awesome program.

However, series 10 was way below par. Most of the regular crew are gone, I always dislike this in a series when they change the people you have got used to.

My main gripe is Lesley the Historian. I remember watching an episode from an early season (probably season 2) where she was at Tutbury Castle, and I thought then that she was such a play up to the camera, I guess putting on a good act so if someone that worked in TV was watching they were thinking 'oh we will get her on again'. Look what happens, shes now part of the team, and the most irritating person in the show, always acting up to the camera, it makes everything seem so fake. I remember seeing a clip on one of the Most Haunted Live shows, and she was so emotional and in tears at one point it was pathetic.

Lets stick to the facts, investigating and cut the drama Lesley, your so called thespian and varied tone dramatic voice just doesn't cut it.

I just wish she would go, so I could watch this show without cringing.

The graphics improve with each season which I like, but everything seems to be getting a little more pro and movie like, rather than the band of folks that were out looking for ghosts in the early series.

When you have a good formula, don't change it.

Lets see some more of the old style Most Haunted back.
