Not as good as the one hour shows!
By a customer from Midlands , 02 Oct 2004[Highly rated reviewer]
I'm a real fan of the most haunted series, but when you think that there may be only two or three 'events' that occur during a whole night, this is acceptable when you squeeze it into an hour program. With the live events the action is a bit slow, most of the program is taken over by Derek and his visions which i have never found to be the most interesting part of the program. This was disappointing and i think i will stick to the one hour shows.- Was this review helpful to you?

(37)A dose of Derek!
By Goonersaurus (13 reviews) from Downpatrick , 17 Aug 2009A do have a soft spot for Most Haunted but I liked the early series rather than the early Live series.
And seeing Derek Acorah makes me miss David Wells more and more.- Was this review helpful to you?

is there anybody home
By wissy (47 reviews) from Glasgow , 16 Aug 2009I saw a tv show recently where they went to Yvette Fieldings house. It was a not too disagreeable mock Tudor affair out in the sticks with a garage full of high performance sports cars and the only spirits present in the house were the bottles of Stolly and Bolly in the kitchen. Given that other BP presenters like poor sod John Noaks peged out almost pottless I can only assume that Ms Fielding good fortune is as a result of the financial income from Most Haunted. When she was asked if she believed in the ghools and ghoosties she seemed rather non-committal. Surprising given that solid proof of the paranormal would be worthy of at least a nobel prize (currently worth 1 million quid and a nice gold medal) not to mention god knows how much more you could make from the research, publications, tours etc, you know what with it being the greatest scientific breakthrough of all time, proof of another plane of existence. So to summaries this is either epoc changing evidence of the paranormal worthy of the adulation of the entire planet and beyond valuation OR a Scouse bloke doing silly voice in the dark.........- Was this review helpful to you?

Most Haunted live - Disc 1
By Karenj (1 review) from Daventry , 07 Sep 2008You have to take this at face value. Its entertainment. And the most entertaining thing is Yvette Fielding! In the early years of Most Haunted she is just so funny. She screams at everything she thinks she might hear, cries if she feels anything that might be paranormal and I can't help but laugh at her. She toughens up a bit as she goes on through the series to the points on one live show (Pendle Hill) where she is shouting abuse at a 'spirit'. Highly entertaining if you want a laugh. And Derek Accora has already been outed by the Most Haunted team as not being completely above board anyway. Hence why he is no longer on the current team. Funniest thing about him is when he gets 'possessed' by a spirit. 'GET OUT. GET OUT OF HERE!' All the spirits say the same through him. Don't get me wrong - I love anything that suggests paranormal phenomena/the unexplained, but as i say - take this as it is. An entertainment programme.- Was this review helpful to you?
