I missed this when it was on Sky - I thought it looked ok but wasn't that fussed about seeing it and was happy to wait to rent the DVD. It turned out to be pretty good and I watched back the entire series very quickly. I don't think it's LOL but it's good to have a chuckle to and you recognise quite a few humerous moments like the mother-in-law from hell and the pregnant or just fat problem!! All in all I thought this was a good comedy - better than most and well worth watching again and recommending to friends. The downside is the amount of swearing that is in it. Didn't put me off but I can ee it being too much for others like my mum!

Disc 1 Saturday Disc 2 Sunday. It really related to people I know and was very good fun. Series 2 is a must! i liked the 'dark' side twist to it, the reality and the comedy. A brilliant mix of characters.

Genuinely couldn 't decide whether this was good or awful. I guess as I ploughed on through all 8 episodes it must have been good...!? Terrible Northern stereotypes from a cast of 2 halves - excellent actors (Pauline Collins, Adrian Bower, Paula Wilcox) on autopilot & the rest are a creaking, hammy soaptastic bunch. The outstanding actor is Lisa Tarbuck, who manages to bring some dimension to her character at least. Entirely predictable & although the series ends on some 'cliffhangers' I don't really give enough of a toss to be back for the 2nd series.

British acting at its comedy finest.

    Trials and tribulations in suburbia.

I don't subscribe to any other tv provider so it was great to watch this whole series on a wet Sunday.

I loved this series so much, it was easy and pleasant viewing. When one episode finished, I couldn't wait to watch the next. The actors who played each character could not of been more perfect if they tried.
