[Highly rated reviewer]Being a huge Sandler fan I look forward to the release of all Happy Maddison films. However I am sorry to report this film left me feeling quite disapointed.
The film only really scrapes through on the strengh of the Cameos, John Tuturro is brilliant as always as is the ever reliable Steve Buscemi.
Winnona fails to steel the show(sorry for the pun), only offering a Medocre performance and sandler is his usual odd ball self in a role he has some what over played.
The Original Mr Deeds goes to town will go down as an all time classic, unfortunately Mr Deeds seems destined to be a 9pm Channel 5 movie for the future.
Only Glad Sandlers 50 first dates put him back on track.

The Sandman Does it AgainBy KyleMac (12 reviews) from Devizes , 12 May 2009I absolutely LOVE Adam Sandlers Humor style so any film with him in it is automatically sent to my rentals list. It is obviously a Hilarious film because it has the Sandman in it. So funny that you have to pause it so you can laugh without missing the rest of the film.
Typical Sandler film, but fun to watchBy a customer from Farnborough , 01 Nov 2008We all quite like Sandler in our family, which is just as well since all his films seem to be more or less the same. This one, however, is one of the better ones.
As usual, it is all a bit cheesy, but has enough laughs in the film to be worth watching.
As others have said, the butler steals the show.
Would recommend to others. Not funny enough to earn 5 stars though.
classicBy a customer from York , 22 Oct 2008this film is a classic, sure its stupid and half the jokes are only funny in that so-bad-they're-good way, but generally its a dumb entertaining film for a hangover sunday, i dont get what else people would expect from a remake starring adam sandler.

Not sure why I love it so much!By Alisino (3 reviews) from Peterborough , 31 Mar 2008I recognise that it's technically not a great film. I actually didn't like it the first time I saw it, I thought it had too much 'stupid' humour, but when I watched it again the stupid bits didn't bother me so much and I found it really funny! It's one of those easy to watch comedies that I can watch over and over.
