You might expect this fantasy to live up to its wistful plotline, as Michael Caine's bartender dispenses what-if potions to a baseball fan (James Belushi) who regrets the day all those years ago when he missed a home run. Yet as Belushi lives his life again — more successful but wishing he was still married to Linda Hamilton rather than his new wife (Rene Russo) — it's hard not to see him as a tedious slob who can't make up his mind. With a plot that's a plod leading to no satisfactory conclusion, you keep hoping the film (along with Belushi's luck) is going to get better. But it doesn't.

    Nice No Brainer.

The radio times review for this film is pretty harsh in my opinion. This film isn't trying to win an oscar, its a silly, fun, feel good movie that is well acted and holds your interest. Belushi is very charismatic and likeable. The plot holes are completely irrelavant. Its just a nice, fun film.

A great feel good film. Very enjoyable. The Radio times review is WRONG!
