A glamorous vocalist with a cowboy quartet (Lana Turner) and a European prince (Ezio Pinza) meet and fall in love. When he inherits the throne, though, he can't consort with a commoner. Marking the screen debut of Metropolitan Opera and Broadway's South Pacific star Pinza, this cardboard drivel was so disastrous that MGM released his second film, Strictly Dishonorable, first. Both bombed. This one, directed by Don Hartman, boasts good-looking locations and sumptuous clothes for Lana; Pinza is in good voice on the rare occasions he's permitted to sing.
Minor romantic drama with songs.
