In this action thriller, Charles Bronson is cast in the unlikely role of a melon farmer. But Bronson fans need not worry — when the Mafia starts interfering with his peaceful rural life, the star soon resorts to his violent ways to protect his workers and his harvest. Director Richard Fleischer has come up with a sort of Death Wish in Colorado — a combination that doesn't really work despite decent performances from Bronson himself and from Linda Cristal in support. Notably, the screenplay is by Elmore Leonard, a novelist whose work is regularly adapted for the screen.

Don't mess with melon farmers
Vietnam veteran Vince Majestyk just wants to grow his watermelons. But the local mob boss has different ideas. The poor sods don't stand a chance.
