Vanessa Redgrave plays the serene and elegant Mrs Dalloway whose character is based upon Virginnia Woolf. It captures the mood and milleu of early twentith century England, as we are told in a series of flashbacks the life story of Mrs Dalloway and her romantic attachments. The iconography, costumes and music all work together to create a wonderful heritage English film.
