Judi Dench is stunning as Mrs Henderson in this delicious piece about the role of the Windmill Theatre during the Second World War. Bob Hoskins turns in yet another brilliant performance, and Will Young shows that singing is not his only talent

Yet again, ol' Judy Dench delivers 'another' tiresome, boring, performance of the typical 'well spoken, yet outwardly spoken old lady' genre.
Perhaps I am not of the higher-brow wit and intellect that this style seems to aim itself towards but personally I find the whole 'what ho, jolly good show...' performance very boring. Dame Jude grates, but then I have always been of that opinion. If you dislike Will Young in his other ventures he will irritate in this and as for Bob Hoskins I just repeatedly pictured him hitting his head on a pair of cartoon womens bosoms.
I was forced to watch this drivel thanks to the girlfriend, yet I amused myself by considering what would look good instead of the wallpaper on the wall at the moment.
Boring, very very boring, and - to be honest - a waste of electricity....
