Mrs Winterbourne

Connie Doyle (Ricki Lake) is pregnant and homeless after a fight with her deadbeat boyfriend (Loren Dean). A train wreck and a case of mistaken identity leads her to the opulent Massachusetts mansion of the Winterbourne family, lead by the stately Grace (Shirley MacLaine). Thought to be the wife of their son, who was killed in the crash, Connie wins the love of the grieving mother as well as the heart of the deceased man's twin brother (Brendan Fraser). Actor Richard Benjamin directs a script based on the novel I MARRIED A DEAD MAN by Cornell Woolrich, which also inspired the 1950 Barbara Stanwyck vehicle NO MAN OF HER OWN.

  Ideal Sunday afternoon hangover movie
  
  Delightfully paper thin plot and masses of pastel clothing, how could you not love it. Especially Ricky Lake and Shirley McLaine.
