Shirley McLaine plays a fantastic matriach in this lovely film. However the two main characters played by Brendan Fraser and Ricki Lake are let down by a series of scenes that don't gel well.
Overall a good film and Mr Fraser is his usual yummy self, worth a view for any fan of his.
