Being a teenager in the 1980's it never seems that long ago to me, except when I watch trashy films like this, which show just how much things have changed in a very short time. Onto the film though, it is not exactly a classic piece of cinema, which is a shame as it was Zoe Tamerliss's only notable film before her untimely death aged 37. Compared to later more sophisticated films it is dreadful, however if you bear in mind that in the same year we were watching Escape From New York, Stripes, and other such 80's classics it is not that bad really.

Of course I don't think anyone would have watched this had it not been for Zoe, a beautiful young girl in bright red lipstick, stockings and a nun's outfit is enough of an excuse for me, even if she is pumping bullets into every bloke she meets with a seemingly endless supply of ammo.

So if you are bored one night with nothing worth watching on TV give this a 'shot' you might just like the retro style.

A film that turns grindhouse audience expectations on their head as a mute girl goes on a rampage killing any man how so much as thinks about women in the 'wrong' way to the point where the viewer, for expecting your more typical grind house sleaze, feels under attack . One of the coolest films ever made.

If you watch any 80's flick you expect a bit of cheese and plot holes. Ms. 45 is a female Death Wish only not quite as good.

overkill is the main flaw in this one as our heroine is raped twice in one day - to be honest once would have justified her transformation (in the film world at least).

I will say while the film is clearly of the exploitation genre it never goes too far or prolongs things unneccesarly (such as I spit on your grave).

I never really bought the reasons behind Ms .45's killing spree as she essentially wages a war on all men. aside from the first two rapeists its hard to really accept that the rest deserved death.

A high point was that Zoe Lund manages to convey her character without the use of words. At no point was it hard to understand her emotions and she really held the film up as the rest of the cast really were just support. I thought human centipede 2 was the only film to have a fully mute antagonist.

Theres no point picking holes in the infinate supply of ammo (it was the 80's after all) if it's that distracting fill in the blanks yourself (she bought some)

All in all this films ok but really lacks a point or message - rape is bad (we know) murder is bad (we know) all men are evil (bit much don't you think)
