step back in time!! not in a good way!!

rented this thinking it was a recent film. Boy were we in for a shock!! it was from 1990 and was very much a made for tv american style film very much like 'murder she wrote' just waited for angela landsberry to pop up!! not my best choice- Was this review helpful to you?

By JackDW (18 reviews) from York , 07 Aug 2012There's nothing inherently wrong with TV movies, and this one is strongly reminiscent of certain other US detective shows from around 1990. It's not boring. But neither is it good.
There's a 'fiction about fiction' theme in which an attempt to write the perfect murder story is intertwined with actual murder. But it's not *good* fiction, as you find out when the identity of the killer is finally revealed. You might hope that the film would transcend the cliches of its genre, but instead it reinforces them, and excuses them by being 'fiction about fiction'. There are unexpected twists, and then there are silly ones, and this movie sides with silliness.- Was this review helpful to you?

Murder 101 - still great in 2012

Pierce has a great back catalogue and it is really worth discovering his pre-Bond roles. Enjoy - both of us did!- Was this review helpful to you?

Dont touch this DVD
