Mushishi

Mushi are a breed of supernatural creatures that spread disease wherever they go. Trouble is, they're almost undetectable to humans, which makes defending against them that much harder. There is one man, however, who possesses the rare ability to see and interact with Mushi--a Bugmaster--who travels to the farthest reaches of Japan on a mission to cure people affected by the creatures.
