Most helpful review
slow but watchable
By a customer from Oxfordshire, England , 27 May 2005[Highly rated reviewer]
A rather wacky film in places. Slow but watchable about a boy who helps his serviceman doctor father deliver his dead mothers best friends baby girl and says that he will marry her! Rather far fetched. The story continues with Law all grown up and living in america and determined to marry his girl. The rest of her family unravels around her as she is pursued by law. Jude Law acts it well but the plot is a bit thin. Prepare for weepie, happy and odd moments of a watchable but not terrific film.- Was this review helpful to you?

(12)music from another room
By nikkiheart73 (30 reviews) from Plymouth , 22 Apr 2009This one is great if you want a nice romantic drama and you really love Jude Law. Jude is looking gorgeous in this film. It was done eleven years ago so he is very young and fresh faced. The story is very good. I really enjoyed it and I will definitely be buying this one for my collection at home.- Was this review helpful to you?

rewiew
By a customer from Scotland , 13 Sep 2006I would give this film 3 and a half stars, but it is not possible, so let it be 4. First I saw it seven years ago and liked it so much that wanted to see again. But now it seems differrent to me. Still, there are things that I like very much- how Danny fights for his love and does not give up, how Anna starts to be true to herself, blind Nina discovering new world to herself, Jude Law being really handome and charming :), and all this kind of impossible love story becoming true.- Was this review helpful to you?

Worth a watch
By kk40 from Surrey , 02 Aug 2006Jude plays an endearing character in this schmaltzy film about small town America and family life.
Prettily filmed, some good casting and a good girly film. Wouldn't rush to watch it again, but nice to tuck up on the sofa and watch for easy entertainment.- Was this review helpful to you?

Coyote Fugly
By deadmanjones (34 reviews) from Stockport , 07 Sep 2005Almost as bad as Coyote Ugly. Certainly just as pointless, saccharine, clichéd and ludicrous. Brenda Blethyn alone comes out of this with your faith in her talent intact.- Was this review helpful to you?
