The popular sci-fi television series 'Mutant X' follows a group of humans, led by scientist Adam Kane, who have acquired amazing and deadly powers after being used as unwitting guinea pigs for a corporation's secret genetic experiment. As part of Adam's Mutant X team, the animalistic Shalimar, shapeshifting Jesse, telepathic Emma, and electrically-charged Brennan dedicate themselves to using their powers for secret crime-fighting missions while trying to stop the experiment's mastermind - and Adam's former partner - Mason Eckhart from using the project for nefarious ends.
