My Boss' Daughter

Ashton Kutcher stars in this romantic comedy about a tumultuous night in the life of a regular guy. Tom (Kutcher) works a menial position at one of Chicago's biggest publishing houses. Terrified of his maniacal boss, Jack Taylor (Terence Stamp), Tom also daydreams about Jack's gorgeous daughter, Lisa (Tara Reid). One day, Lisa asks Tom to do her a favor and show up at her dad's house later that night. He thinks he's taking her to a party, but when he gets there, he realizes his true purpose: he's going to housesit while Jack leaves town and Lisa goes to the party with her boyfriend. Of course, Jack is militaristic in his cleanliness, as well as in his devotion to his pet owl, OJ. When unwelcome guests start arriving (Andy Richter, Molly Shannon, Carmen Electra, Michael Madsen), Tom knows big trouble is just around the corner. That big trouble is in the form of OJ, who flies out the front door after drinking a toilet full of cocaine-doused water. Eventually, Lisa comes home, forcing Tom to balance the chaos downstairs with the budding romance upstairs. Featuring several hilarious supporting performances, David Zucker's outlandish comedy gives Kutcher the perfect opportunity to further test his comic chops.

    Shockingly awful !

How anybody could fail to produce even a mediocre film with Kutcher and Reid I don't know, You have to watch it to understand how awful it really is, I was looking forward to watching this, and am glad in a way I have been witness to how badly a film can be made.

    Oh good God...

Words can only hint at the sheer abject awfulness of this 'film' (that I'll add was busy gathering dust on a shelf until good ol' Ashton's stock rose.) But I'll be fair and give it the objective assessment it doesn't deserve:

Plot: Nope, sorry just some awkward cobbled together set-ups.

Characters: Again sadly absent, the best we've got are tired cliches not helped by the fact that the actor's playing them appear to be reading their words off giant cue cards suspended just above the camera.

Comedy: So thin on the ground you might just trample over it without even realizing.

Script: Well...actually sorry I can't go on. It's just not worth reliving, I lost the 120 minutes of my life and they'll never comeback but at least I can go and live now. Please don't waste a rental on this...thing. Want a no-brainer comedy? This isn't it.

Though apart from that, I loved it. Five Stars!

Simpson wows crowds at Dukes premiere

    • 23 Aug 2005

The Dukes Of Hazzard premiere took place in London's Leicester Square last night, and singer-actress Jessica Simpson stole the show. The blonde beauty looked absolutely stunning in a full-length gold Behnaz Sarafpour gown, a far cry from the ten-inch hot pants she wears in the film. The star of Newlyweds said: "I grew up loving Daisy Duke. She was someone I idolised as a kid so to play her is a dream come true." Simpson was joined on the red carpet by her co-stars, Jackass funnyman... Read more
