  • 200 Yards......

Found this film excellent. The disparity of life in England and in the trenches of the First World War was well represented here. The waste of lives lost for a very small victory, in the case of Jack Kipling, 200yds. It was a good heartfelt story, well acted, particularly by Kim Cattrell as Jack's mother and left me thinking about the consequences of actions.

I saw this when it first came out but I'd forgotten the story since. I remembered it being good but I got bored this time around watching it. The story was slow, it was ok but i got quite bored.

  • A good film but main leads are mis-cast

I enjoyed the film and the story but I think that the main leads were mis-cast. Daniel wasn't a very inspired choice (but good for getting people into the cinema I suppose) and David Haig is forever in my mind the comic detective in 'Thin Blue Line' so I was just waiting on him to revert to old character...!

  • Moving, Convincing acting

Quite a moving film, everyones acting is convincing. There is a big gap in the middle of the film where nothing much happens, got a bit bored. And if anyones waching this because they fancy Dan Radciffe, don't bother, he looks awful in it - specially with that tash!

I enjoyed this film a lot! The cast were all fantastic and I'm fascinated by life during the war so this really kept my interest. Would watch it again.
