This means Mai is one of a select 12 girls, chosen to use their supernatural powers against the demons that haunt the school. This volume contains several more episodes in which summer vacation leads Mai, Natsuki, and Mikoto to an abandoned research facility where they search for clues about the HiME. When summer comes to a close, trouble is not too far away.

This series so far has been pretty enjoyable. We are not big watchers of anime, having only really watched this, and another series called Elfen Lied (that one is brilliant).
As expected being Japanese, this is full of girls wearing very small tight fitting school uniforms. There are a lot of suggestive scenes to go with it! And also some jokes that only make sense in asian culture.
We have been watching the english dubbed version without subtitles, and the acting is generally ok, but it does seem like the voice actors are trying harder to fit their words to the animation than to express the emotion required. But it doesn't distract from the viewing that much.
In terms of plot, this third disc is beginning to make things more interesting, with small details being revealed. I still feel though that some parts of the plot have not been properly explained, and can cause a little confusion.
Just take it as it comes, and you will find you really enjoy this series. The only problem is that there are not enough episodes per rental disc!
