Absolute ploop! The dubbing in no way matches the subtitles - which for the first hour was quite amusing, then we realised we were not watching the film! We ended up turning it off because we could not take any more! Jackie Chan did not appear to have much of a role after the first 10 minutes - don't do it!
One of the best Jackie Chan Movies ever. Has to be up there with wheels on meals and project a. Quality stunts and fight scenes.
Any film with Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung and Yuen Biao in it gets my vote. One of a series of films Directed By Sammo, this film boasts Jackie as the star, but he is only in a third of it..... but what a third. The opening car chase and fight are fantastic, and whe sequence with Jackie dressed as a cartoon character in a funhouse is also very memorable. In the end though this is Sammo and his Lucky Stars' film. Childish comedy and slapstick for most, but don't forget, Sammo can kick ass with the best of them!
And in this film he does.
I like this film, but i got confused for the simple reason on the video version all the characters apart from muscles have got different names, it put me off watching it all, if you have never seen this on video then it is a very funny film you will enjoy it, but dont watch it if your a jackie chan fan he is not in it a lot.
If like I was, you're tempted to watch this because the Chan Man is in it, don't bother - he's hardly in it. And if you're tempted because you like martial arts, then again don't bother as there's hardly any of that in it either. As it's one of Jackie Chan's older movies, I was skeptical before I watched it and unfortunately for good reason. The movie is mostly made up of daft comedy scenes involving a bunch of dislikeable rejects. Some of it is very slightly amusing, but ninety percent of the time it's just dumb and weird. There are only two fairly short fight scenes in it plus the grand finale. The finale is actually really good with some impressive fights and choreography. To be honest, if you are going to watch this film, I'd personally skip to the finale as it's the only bit worth seeing, the previous two fight scenes are only a tease really. I was just getting into them and then they were all over and everybody starting saying stupid things again. The finale is what the rest of the film should have been like. I'm not a violent person, but no-one watches this kind of movie for the scenery and after about thirty minutes of talk talk talk I was just sitting there yelling 'when is somebody going to hit somebody! For god's sake shut up and scissor-kick him!' A martial arts movie with very little fighting. Dull dull dull. To top it off, the film version I watched was subtitled - always a treat (not). That way I get to multitask, oh goody. If you love Jackie Chan movies and you haven't already seen them, watch Mr Nice Guy and Rumble In The Bronx, those two are Chan classics.

Very funny and good martial art action....love it!
another great funny action film by jackie
Sammo Hung not Jackie Chan is the one to watch in this film. For a big guy he can move and is very funny in this film.

The opening car chase is fantastic with some crazy stunt work, and the sequence where Jackie is dressed as a cartoon character in a funhouse is also very memorable.
The big fight at the end also has some nifty footwork. In the end though, this is Sammo's film. Childish and slapstick comedy for the most, but don't forget, Sammo can kick ass with the best of them, and in this film he does.
Much better than its predecessor, 'Winners & sinners', although you still have to sit through an interminable middle section of so-called comedy, featuring Richard Ng trying to prove he's psychic, and poor Sibelle Hu getting tied up with each of the other cast members.
On either side of this, though, there's a perfectly acceptable Chinese action movie, with some good Jackie Chan/Yuen Biao stuff at the start, and a wonderful climax in the baddies' lair behind an amusement park. Here you get to see the moves you've been waiting for, and Hung cuts out the indulgences and gets on with it.
Plot is quite silly but the action moves are great! As is the toned muscular Japanese baddie!
