A contender for the ultimate child friendly family movie?

    Yup!

If you don't have any children, I suggest you rent some so you'll have an excuse to watch this movie!! My wife and I don't have any kids, but that didn't stop us from spending an enchanting evening in with the DVD.

If you liked Spirited Away, you'll love this!

There's a reason why the average rating for this movie is 6/7 (at the time of writing) - It's a delightful tale with fantastic visuals!

I absolutely loved this film. My inner child was awakened as I watched this animated masterpiece. The world of Studio Ghibli is so magical and beautiful; cherishing nature and childhood. Totoro is an amazing character who lovingly connects the children with nature, magic and imagination, creating fantastical experiences at a time of uncertainty in their lives. I was so moved by this film. The director Hayao Miyazaki is really connecting with something innate in children and the natural world, and is an inspired creator. The detailed everyday observations like the formation of water droplets and the way bike spokes keep moving when a bicycle has been hastily placed on the floor after use, are seamlessly interwoven with the other worldliness of these nature spirits. Pure joy. This film sets the standard very high for films in this genre and beyond.
