    [Highly rated reviewer]

This Film is not brilliant but defiantly worth a watch. Meg Ryan is looking good for 46. It also was the first time I saw Tom Hanks son Colin Hanks acting.

  • A bit ridiculous but good fun

Antonio Banderas - great. Worth watching the film just for his performance really. It was a bit silly but I did really enjoy it. Could have been a lot worse!

  • Good enough for my little eyes

Considering the movie stars an older sex god, Antonio Banderas along with a forty plus Meg Ryan and Colin Hanks, overall it isn't one that you should watch expecting too much. It is a little unbelievable in places, but gives enough to make it good entertainment and I found it light-hearted and even funny at times. If you want to while away an evening, this is a good enough comedy, no need to think while watching, it made a good change with hardly any blood, sex or swearing.... rather unusual for the regular 12 rated 'romantic action comedy' -I would happily recommend as teen entertainment too.

    QUICK SUMMARY

An unfortunate 1.5 rating for My Spy, which in summary is a combination of movie plots which we have all seen before, lacks originality and is packed with cheesey laughs and further spolit by the highly expected cast, which simply are unable to perform with the weak characters and poor dialogue.

    FULL REVIEW

The cast which includes Bandaras , Ryan and Hanks perform poorly as does the movies plot and dialogue which shows its cheesyness throughout and the lack of depth to the whole story is apparant from the very beginning.

This could have been funny and have some really great bits, but it fails to deliver any original laughs or excitment which you would not have seen before. this film represents a mish mash of good bits from other sucessful films of this genre.

After about 30 minutes , you get the whole story and can pretty much guess the outcome and ending from this early stage.

Meg Ryan does look great , although the camera does show a plastic look to her face on some scenes. Colin Hanks really failed to provide a disimilar role to that of Orange County , which was a shame. Bandaras really needs to get a new agent , although he did have some smooth lines which he used on Meg Ryan.

The movies lacks a lot of basic wants which any of us would like to see.

An unfortunate 1.5 rating for My Spy, which in summary is a combination of movie plots which we have all seen before, lacks originality and is packed with cheesey laughs and further spolit by the highly expected cast, which simply are unable to perform with the weak characters and poor dialogue.

An embarrassing low point for Meg Ryan. Colin Hanks was miscast, Selma Blair the only saving grace, jury's out on Antonio Banderas. George Gallo gets big thumbs down.
