When Todd Solondz broached the subject of child abuse in Happiness seven years ago, it felt groundbreaking. Lately though, pedophilia is almost as popular as bank robbery among the... read more »
This film is the best of its kind i have ever seen. It is a rollercoaster from start to end. Superbly cast with the acting painfully believable. The film is very careful to stay in context and not over emphasise the graphic points leaving enough to the shocked imagination. my heart was pulled from scene to scene. As a victim of similar life to the lead role i felt strongly intuned to his life and truly believed his performance.
A must buy for anyone who can cope with the powerfull story and haunting visuals.
This is not a sci-fi film at all. Its not the gay side of it that concerns me its the scenes of a small boy being sexually abused and then going on selling himself for petty cash. It is peadophilic, not nice at all for any parent to watch. I wonder did the film maker donate the proceeds to this film into preventing child abuse. I think not !!!!!! THIS FLIM SHOULD HAVE A WARNING ABOUT ITS CONTENT

Akari is relatively unknown as a director, his... Read more
