    my daughter loves the Nanny Mcphee films which are adapted by Emma Thompson from the Christianna Brand's Nurse Matilda books.

    This sequel film stars Emma Thompson, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Ralph Fiennes, Rhys Ifans, Maggie Smith, Asa Butterfield, Bill Bailey and Katy Brand.

    Nanny McPhee (played by Emma Thompson) jumps forward in time in this sequel and appears at the door of a harrassed young mother called Mrs Green (played by Maggie Gyllenhaal) who is trying to run the family farm whilst her husband is away at war.

    But once she's arrived, Nanny McPhee discovers that Mrs. Green's children are fighting a war of their own against two nasty, snobby cousins who have just moved in and refuse to leave.

    From flying motorcycles and statues that come to life to a tree-climbing piglet and a baby elephant that turns up in the oddest places, Nanny McPhee uses her magic to teach her mischievous charges five new lessons.

    Well worth watching !

    I thought the first one was brilliant and this sequel didnt disappoint. Not only did my son love it ( and watch it many times!) but the adults of the family also enjoyed it!!

  • Not just for the kids

    We are adults and realy enjoyed a bit of pure escapism. A good laugh with a nice little twist at the end. Maggie Smith was superbly funny, Eidleweisse the jackdaw steals some of the scenes,We loved the 1st film & this is a good sequel

    I loved this film,it was funny and heart warming. A brilliant sequel. watch out for the animals & special effects. I laughed and I cried.
