[Highly rated reviewer]my daughter loves the Nanny Mcphee films which are adapted by Emma Thompson from the Christianna Brand's Nurse Matilda books.
This sequel film stars Emma Thompson, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Ralph Fiennes, Rhys Ifans, Maggie Smith, Asa Butterfield, Bill Bailey and Katy Brand.
Nanny McPhee (played by Emma Thompson) jumps forward in time in this sequel and appears at the door of a harrassed young mother called Mrs Green (played by Maggie Gyllenhaal) who is trying to run the family farm whilst her husband is away at war.
But once she's arrived, Nanny McPhee discovers that Mrs. Green's children are fighting a war of their own against two nasty, snobby cousins who have just moved in and refuse to leave.
From flying motorcycles and statues that come to life to a tree-climbing piglet and a baby elephant that turns up in the oddest places, Nanny McPhee uses her magic to teach her mischievous charges five new lessons.
Well worth watching !

Nanny Mcphee the Big BoreBy bosswoman (1 review) , 25 Oct 2013Not as good as first one, to be honest a bit boring! Bit like most films the second one is never a patch on the first just really predictable.
Highly RecommendedBy NK14 (1 review) , 10 Sep 2013Excellent family fun. Our children loved it and so did we! The film has a good mix of fantasy and some down-to-earth useful advice.

THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS Show review anywayHideIt was on the same sort of pattern as the previous film but still good fun had by all. Loved the little twist towards the end of the film.
Wholesome family fun!By Gidget2607 (2 reviews) , 11 Jun 2013Good family film with funny bits throughout. Kept by 6 year old daughter interested throughout, whereas she got bored half way through the first one. I personally didnt think this one was as good as the first one, but was entertaining and well worth watching if you enjoyed the original.
Oh yeah more Nanny McPheeBy Jjx (22 reviews) , 21 Apr 2013I thought the first one was brilliant and this sequel didnt disappoint. Not only did my son love it ( and watch it many times!) but the adults of the family also enjoyed it!!
