    Sexy star Megan Fox has given her Transformers director Michael Bay's all-action reputation a bashing, insisting the moviemaker has "no social skills" and is "hopelessly awkward".     Steve Carell has signed up for a lead role in Brigadier Gerard, a period comedy about a French soldier during the Napoleonic wars. Based on a series of stories by Arthur Conan Doyle, the film is a comic take on Napoleon's rise to power and his eventual downfall.     Steven Spielberg has bought the rights to forthcoming adventure series The 39 Clues amid speculation he may direct a movie attached to the project. There are ten books planned for the series, which is being described as a multi-media adventure, with kids around the world able to win a prize of $10,000 if they solve the mystery.
