The title is somewhat misleading; the story has nothing to do with Shippuden series story arc, and there lies the biggest disappointment.

Yes, the characters are now older and higher rank, but do not expect to see any of the Akatsuki clan here. This is yet another typical Naruto movie.

Regardless, it is better than some other previous Naruto films. Expect action, fairly interesting enemies and your usual Naruto saves the day theme.

Feels like a long episode filler, but a good filler nevertheless.

I really enjoyed watching this, but before you watch you must note that all Naruto movies have nothing to do with the storyline of the anime/manga bear that in mind.

Keeping that in mind the movie really makes a new look on Naruto, the biggest disappointment I would have to say is the English feature, Personally I like listening to naruto in Japanese as that is what the anime was made for and i would strongly advise everyone to try it out (at least a little of it) in Japanese to see whether you enjoy it or not.

The Movie itself is very clever, it shows Naruto Sakura Lee and Neji go on a mission to protect the shrine maiden Shion who has a past of being alone and is very stubborn (much to Narutos annoyance)

The movie shows naruto protect Shion who can also tell the future and predicts Narutos death right from the start!

Naruto then must decide protect her and die? Or leave her and let her die.....

Having this from the beginning builds up the tension right to the very end! I wont spoil it any more for you if i already have, you'll have to watch it to find out what he does and what happens to Naruto and Shion

Pros:Very good Movie lots of tension to keep you waiting, best watched in Japanese with subtitles (my opinion)

Cons: English voices sound very weird and very similar to naruto when he was 13 (he is 16 now), There are no extras or special features.

Tip: Watch after the credits in almost all naruto movies there is something behind the credits either the intitial credits or the ones after, there will be something!
