First 13 episodes of the second series of this popular anime adapted from the best-selling manga created by Masashi Kishimoto. Long ago, a powerful Demon Fox appeared in peaceful Konoha, the Village Hidden in the Leaves. Their families and homes threatened by this evil force, the Shinobis - or ninjas - fought long and hard to protect themselves but to no avail. Then, one Shinobi - known as the Fourth Hokage - made the ultimate sacrifice, sealing the spirit of the demon in the body of a newborn baby boy. Naruto Uzumaki. Twelve years later, Naruto has grown into a lonesome orphan with boundless energy, a penchant for mischief and dreams of becoming the next Hokage. Treated as an outcast by the rest of his village ever since he became the human vessel for the spirit of the Demon Fox, all Naruto really yearns for is attention and respect. With the help of his mentor Kakashi, Naruto endeavours to overcome all the challenges set before him as he struggles to develop his ninja skills and takes the first steps in realising his dream. In this volume Naruto, with Genin (rookie) teammates Sasuke and Sakura are facing the intermediate exam, which will earn them Chunin (intermediate Samurai) status. To avoid flunking and the embarrassment that entails, they must face their toughest challenge mission yet - a harrowing survival battle to retrieve two powerful scrolls. The objective is to find, retrieve and return the scrolls to the tower before rival teams on the same quest get them first. It seems plain at first but the task becomes an unexpected five-day battle for survival against all manner of hidden enemies in the Forest of Hidden Leaves.

Naruto series 1 left me wanting more,even though I have seen all episodes on the internet, the comparrison to it being on DVD is unmeasureable.This series we are introduced to powerful new allies such as,Neji,Tenten and Lee but we are also introduced to deadly new foes such as Orochimaru,Kabuto and the sound ninja trio.Series 2 of Naruto is unmissable to any Naruto or manga fan.

isnt there ment to be 35 episodes of this first series i can only find vol 1 and vol 2 thats only 26 eps :/

Well what can I say, after watching many Anime series this one has to be the best of the lot, the animation is fantastic and the fight scenes are exciting. I can't wait for the next one.
