What are you waiting ...
By Andrew#54 from BIRMINGHAM , 27 Feb 2004[Highly rated reviewer]
What are you waiting for? This is a must for any fans of the Lampoons films or fans of Chevy Chase. This is one of the best of the vacation series. A comedy classic.- Was this review helpful to you?

(77)This film is not just for Christmas!
By Bobsview (559 reviews) from Gloucestershire , 30 Jun 2012This is the only National Lampoon film that I have seen but it is considered the best in the series, It is a very funny film and made me laugh all the way through. Chevy Chase is brilliant. This is I think the funniest Christmas film of all but so much so that you could watch it any time and you should. Who can forget the saga of the Christmas lights.- Was this review helpful to you?

As good as I remember but is it really rated PG?
By curlylox (1 review) from Basingstoke , 24 Dec 2011Love this film and good to see it is available to watch online. One thing that confuses me though is that it says that is a PG rated film. I am sure it is a 12 certificate because it features one use of the F word?- Was this review helpful to you?

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
By Stinkmas (3 reviews) , 19 Dec 2011This film seems to have some positive reviews from others, I can only guess that those are from people who saw this as a child (so were too young to see it for what it is) and their sentimental side guides them to watch it again.
If you haven't seen the film before and you are looking for a good Christmassy watch, this is NOT it. The jokes are too predictable and built up too much, which might work if they were actually funny, but they really aren't. Everything seems to smell, and half of the humour is expected to come from that. The acting is terrible, the script horrendous, it makes little sense and doesn't even have any good Christmas songs in to make up for it. If this isn't the worst movie ever made, then I don't want to know what is.- Was this review helpful to you?

Family comedy?
By YO8102 (3 reviews) from Great Britain , 17 Dec 2011I watched this online with my wife (who, to my great surprise, had never seen it) last night, with the intention of watching this 'family comedy' again with the kids today.
I'm certainly glad we previewed it as, due to regular use of words like 'bull****' and at least one of the F word, we now know not to let the kids see it.- Was this review helpful to you?
