A good horror flick

I'm not a big horror fan, but was intrigued by the art design and impressed by the trailer, so I decided to watch the film. To be honest, it was a lot better than what I was expecting! The cinematography is really quite good and the film looks quite slick. While the story is a little straightforward, I thought the concept of the voodoo machine killing off its victims was very original and well put together. One real highlight is the score and sound design...quite amazing actually, I had it fully cranked on my Sony system and it is top class. The actors are all pretty good, although I'd like to have seen a more involved and passionate performance from the lead actor (Michael Dorman). Overall its a pretty solid flick and I recommend it to fans of thrillers and above average horror films. It certaintly isn't a gore-fest though, which was also nice.- Was this review helpful to you?

Voodoo with a Twist

God Awful

Sat through the entire incredibly boring thing to see if it would ever pick up and because when I start a film I like to see it through to the end, but this was just really dire stuff. Part Australian/part American/all awful. My tip is please please don't waste your time watching this tripe, you could spend your time much more productively by shoving a needle through your own foot.- Was this review helpful to you?

Boring waste of time!
