    [Highly rated reviewer]

I went into this film with my expectations perhaps slightly too high having already seen and loved Philibert's previous film Etre et Avoir not to mention the trailer to this film. Unfortunately the enjoyment I got from the trailer wasn't really expanded upon over the 65 mins or so of this feature length documentary. I really admire the concept and I'm admittedly fascinated by Orangutans but I think the most enjoyable aspect of this film are the peoples comments and views who come to the zoo to admire these beautiful creatures. I was hungry for more of these gently humorous anecdotes and observations rather than the views and expectations of the zoo keepers. Some people may find this film a touch boring I suspect, it certainly isn't boring but I just feel it had the potential to be so much more.
