This is a bargain basement Hong Kong action film from 1990. 2 brothers from the mainland come to Hong Kong to stay with their uncle and cousin, and get mixed up with some gangsters. The action is sporadic and tends to be shootouts and a bit of (not well choreographed) kickboxing.
The only real points of note are that the cousin is played by Moon Lee, and her father is played by kung fu legend Lau Kar Leung (aka Liu Chia-Liang), which is a nice idea but its a shame they didn't get to team up in a better film. Neither of them gets much to do. Moon has a couple of short fights and a taekwando demo, but doesn't really look at the top of her form. LKL is getting on a bit but still looks twice as fast as everyone else - he does a sword form near the start, then disappears for most of the movie only to turn up for the big fight at the end with some of his trademark southern kung fu moves. But if you really want to see either of these two in action there are plenty of better films to choose from.
Lau Kar Leung features along with Moon Lee in this film that features two brothers from the mainland that visit Hong Kong to help family with a restaurant, only to fall foul of some local Triads. Lau Kar Leung still busts a move like a young man in the violent climatic fight.
Also included on this DVD is 'Escape from Brothel'. Sex and extreme violence mix together in this film that has a superb downbeat ending along with some patch acting. Some of the action sequences are impressively thrilling, but the plot does not make too much sense. This came as an extra with the above film, not advertised on the rental.
