    Classic

It's scary to think that the first series is almost 20 years old!

One or two of the jokes are a bit dated but Mayall carries off his character fabulously, in the crazy compelling way that only the maddest of the Young Ones ever could.

Still very very funny. Can't wait for the next disc!

    Once great but dated!

I have to say I really enjoyed seeing this again, but it's - as has already been said - not like the 1st time round. It's not really stood the test of time as well as other shows from the days of B'Stard and co. Yes Minister and Yes Prime Minister have both lasted well, but this struggles a little.

I watched this with my brother and he thought it was a let down even though he had a good few chuckles. Yes PM and M had him in stiches. I should point out that he was too young to have seen any of these 1st time round. Perhaps the dating comes from the fact that I would have been around 11 or 12 when they were on origonally and when you're 11 or 12 swear words and bonking are the funniest things on the planet!

Still... Rick (with a silent P for any Young Ones fans) does a great job. And his mate has the smarmiest face you'll ever see. One you want to punch but at the same time feel sorry for, having to take the stick Alan dishes out. There are a few other familiar faces there as well that I'd totlaay orgotten about.

All in all, it's well worth a rent out, though I don't think I'll be in a rush to buy it!
