Unfairly slated & reasonably creepy if horror is your cup-of-tea!

This film seems to have been given an unfair heavy slating. It is actually a reasonable horror film & quite tense at times. The plot is fairly intruiging as well. I also am wondering how this film is homophobic????? Must have missed the anti-gay remark??? (If there was one!)This film was made in 1982 (nearly 3 decades ago) and so the content may now be construed as a tad sexist or not so PC. However I feel that if you are watching an older film you have to make allowances & accept that times have moved on & not take everything you see or hear to heart. You don't have to agree with everything but if it offends simply don't watch it. It is actually worth a watch & has some fairly creepy parts to it although there are some ham moments throughout but so what it's still better than alot of newer films!
