Newport South

A teen drama scripted by James Hughes (son of the master of such fare, John Hughes), NEW PORT SOUTH stars Blake Shields as Maddox, the leader of a group of students fed up with the authoritarian ways of the administration at the movie's titular high school. Maddox's imagination is stirred when he hears about a former student of the school who was institutionalized and later made a name for himself by springing teens like himself from those institutions. Bolstered, Maddox and his cohorts begin a series of clandestine rebellious acts designed to overthrow the oppressiveness of the school and show the administration that they cannot suppress the individual.

    New Port Yawn

    This film tried for tension and suspense but failed to create either. The main character was just no appealing enough to make the viewer root for him.

    This is a poor boring movie that is only helped up by it's styling
