Rapper turned actor Ice Cube grabs writing, producing and performing credits for this follow-up to his hit US comedy Friday. Just as lowbrow in its laughs, but sadly lacking the original's darkish hue, Next Friday has Cube's street-savvy character hiding out in an affluent LA suburb where, thanks to a lottery win, his uncle is the richest man on the block. Add comic gangsters, a curvy señorita and a doped-up dog, and you have the recipe for some undemanding hokum that did big business Stateside. It may cut less Ice with British audiences, however.
Amiable enough romp, a sequel of sorts to Friday (qv), which ambles along without getting anywhere very interesting.

Found this to be a very funny film and thought Craig's dog catching father (Willie) stole the show.
I have seen all three of the "Friday" series. I believe this second part is the best of the lot. It has more laughs and a better story plot.
I've seen Friday and Friday After Next but I have to say none of them are as good as this one.
