Needs To Be Seen
By CyberDan from London UK , 19 May 2005[Highly rated reviewer]
This film really shows how the Nazi machine gathered momentum and power as it went along, from small beginnings they built up to the most horrendous crime commited ever.
It should be seen by all who would attempt to deny the Holocaust.- Was this review helpful to you?

(13)Unimaginable horror.
By PJshadow (199 reviews) from Leeds , 20 Feb 2011[Highly rated reviewer]
Night and Fog is a simply brilliant short film about the horrors of Nazi death camps. They didn't hold back on anything when they made this and as such it contains some extremely traumatic images.
Even if you already know some of the reality of what happened Night and Fog will still horrify you with it's detail of the daily struggle to stay alive amidst the torture and humiliation of innocents in the death camps.
A very important piece of work.- Was this review helpful to you?

Night and fog
By boadicea (2 reviews) from Somerton , 07 Jan 2010This was a truly shocking film and spared the viewer nothing. There was not much coverage of the actual Auschwitz site, which would have been interesting given it was made only ten years after the actual events, but did give a harrowing insight into what it must have been like. Some of the images were the worst I have seen on the Holocaust and definitely not suitable for children.- Was this review helpful to you?

Harrowing
By a customer from London , 02 Feb 2009In just half an hour, director Resnais lays bare the full horror of the Holocaust by homing in on the atrocities that went on at Auschwitz. Although we've seen some of the footage before, the film's measured tone means what we're seeing still comes across as shocking and unimaginable. Not for the faint-hearted, this must have caused real shockwaves in 1955.- Was this review helpful to you?
