I'd would love too spend the night at that museum

Absolutely loved it. I give it my 5 F's .

    Fabulous Fun Filled Family Film

It's good to watch something that's light hearted, good special effects and just good fun.

Steve Coogans' and Owen Wilsons characters are funny as is the relationship between Ben Stiller and the monkey. I am not going to give anything away. JUST WATCH IT.

    Poor man's Jumanji

Ben Stiller stars as a security guard in a museum, who on his first night realises that things are not what they seem. The reviews were good for this film so I decided to sit down with the family have an enjoyable couple of hours. Unfortunately, for me, this was not as good as everyone has said it was. The storyline was pretty basic and not as entertaining as you might have thought. Ben Stiller was wooden throughout and laughs did not come naturally. 3 stars for an ok movie.

    Escapism

It really annoys me when critics try to analyse movies and then say that they are rubbish. ie. weak plot, bad acting or predictable. Why bother analysing it in the first place. Movies are make believe and if you just let yourself escape into them then they become enjoyable fantasies. This is one of those movies. Typical lightehearted Hollywood fluff. Rent and enjoy. I did.

    Great family film

Well, it was never going to win any Oscars, but if you want a great rainy sunday afternoon film to enjoy with a bigbowl of popcorn , then this fits the bill. My kids loved it , and we enjoyed it too. The effects are good, and the idea of everything coming alive at night is a fantasy that all children can relate too.

Not too taxing on the brain, but not mindless rubbish either. Recommended, especially for ages 7 - 12

    fantastic!!!!

Absolutely loved this film, great for kids and adults alike. A fantastic film for those who like a little bit of 'magic' and allow their imaginations to become reality.

Great film, lighthearted, fun, comical and heart warming.

    No museum peace this...

A real collection of acting talent making an exhibition of themselves in this museum, including evergreen Dick Van Dyke.. who gives a lovely performance and proves he is not ready to be labelled a specimen himself just yet. Make no bones about it, this isn't the funniest, cleverest or most entertaining thing ever. Perhaps it is a good candidate to wait for the DVD version to come out to rent, rather than rushing off to see it on the big screen (mmm mind you there are a few things that might get lost on the smaller screen), that said, it does have a pharoh few laughs and is daft enough to be entertaining. Would definately recommend this as a title to rent.

Hey it's good clean family fun

If you go to watch a Ben Stiller movie you're pretty much guaranteed a film which doesn't require you to use your brain but you know you're gonna have a laugh. Night at the Museum did not disappoint. Great special effects and a cast including Robin Williams, Owen Wilson and even Steve Coogan means you are kept smiling throughout. I must admit I hadn't actually heard much about this one but am very glad I've seen it, good clean fun.

    OK for what it is

If you don't expect a plot laden, well acted, visually stimulating, memorable film, then this will do just fine. Light hearted fun - my two boys (5 & 7) thought it was great, my wife and I enjoyed watching them enjoy the film. Just one thing - why do Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson have to be in eachother's movies all the time? Perhaps the only surprise was that Will Ferrell and Vince Vaughan weren't in this. Do your own stuff guys; it's getting tedious...

    A wonderful surprise

We chose to go to this film (despite not being or having children) as it looked like fun, and seemed to have a decent cast, but by the time we were sitting in the cinema surrounded by kids we were already regretting it and weren't expecting much. However after a formulaic first ten minutes it launched into a fantastic, hilarious adventure that I genuinely loved. Dick Van Dyke is worth the ticket price alone, he is brilliant as the outgoing nightwatchman, but Owen Wilson also provided many of the big laughs, with Steve Coogan, Ricky Gervais, Robin Williams and Ben Stiller also putting in great performances. The effects were fantastic, and as a cynic in her twenties, was surpised how much I didn't want this to end!

A night of fun and excitement

Having read the reviews I nearly didn't bother going to see this movie, but if you're still young at heart, open to entertainment, this film will not fail to impress. It's funny, light hearted, and slowly takes you along for the ride, to finish with a heartwarming ending. My kids 6 & 8 loved this film and I thought it was well worth a visit to the movies. Films are like wine, each person has their own taste, for me, this was nearly a 9 out of 10. Check it out for yourself.
