Don't bother

I don't find it hard to enjoy cheap horror movies, but this was dull beyond belief. It lacks anything worthwhile. Zero gore, at least with bad plot and acting, you can usually rely on that. This has small unrealistic bloodstains on clothes where people have been 'stabbed'. The plot is stupid, lacking in anything interesting, scary or surprising. The acting is worse than a GCSE drama group's first rehearsal, Paris Hilton especially. There's not even any nudity, which you'd expect from the porn-like cover of the DVD. And speaking of...Paris on the front? She?s in it for like 10 minutes. I can't imagine anyone enjoying this, so I refuse to recommend it to anyone. I wish I'd read reviews before I rented this. Frankly, I was humiliated that it was my choice and my friends had to sit through it.- Was this review helpful to you?

By a customer from UK , 23 Jun 2008Its rare that I am moved to put a review here but I feel duty bound to warn unsuspecting horror fans against wasting their time with this movie. Its only worth watching if you really like Paris Hilton and even then you can stop watching after the first 20 minutes. This honestly is fine for small children to watc - I would rate it PG - I've seen scarier Poirot Episodes on ITV!
Its run of the mill to begin with and mildly diverting - it has promise which is why I gave it 2 instead of 1 star, but it just gets worse and worse. I supoose it can't have helped that the director who was alos the writer is only 13 (well thats how old he looks and sounds in the rather rubbish extras you get on this dvd)- Was this review helpful to you?

Customer Review
By a customer from UK , 23 Jun 2008Well I had high hopes for this expecting something along the lines of Scream, April fools day set in a Scottish mansion. Unfotunately this is more like a video of a hide and seek game! The story, plot, script and acting are all very poor. It's not gory, scary, sexy despite Paris Hilton appearing briefly, or interesting. Only good thing about it is the location. It should be rated a 12, can't think how it got an 18 rating! No suspense, twists just 80 minutes of a poor film trying to cash in on the popularity of the gerne and using Paris Hilton's name and photo on the cover to try and raise the profile!. Even if your a horror fan your best of passing this by!
The only extra is a 12 minute brief chat with the director and cast, even this is poor and not insightful!! Would avoid! 4/10- Was this review helpful to you?
