Samuel Faulkner's (Hugh Grant) fruitful, happy life completely falls apart when long-time girlfriend Rebecca (Julianne Moore) suddenly announces she's pregnant. The thought of fatherhood and responsibility terrifies Samuel--who just happens to be a child psychologist. Although he does try hard to get used to the idea, the .. Read more

Just as Trois Hommes et un Couffin surpasses Three Men and a Baby, so this French comedy is infinitely superior to its Hollywood remake. Primarily, this is because it is less coy in its depiction of the sexual and gynaecological aspects of pregnancy than Chris Columbus's film. It is therefore able to develop its relationships and shifting attitudes on more than a superficially comic level. Similarly, Patrick Braoudé is less mannered than Hugh Grant and genuinely appears to be perturbed by the prospect of fatherhood, despite the advice of family and friends and the assurances of long-suffering wife, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu.
A still-born comedy, bereft of wit or style, in which Hugh Grant acts embarrassed for most of the time, as well he might.
This is a really funny film about responsibility. I have watched it so many times but it still gets me laughing.
Hugh Grant is so cute.
Hugh Grant, Robin Williams and Julianne Moore are at their best in this film. The film tells how a normal everyday couples lives are turned upside-down in the months leading up to childbirth with hilarious consequences. Heartwarming and funny and well worth watching if you are in the mood for a feel good movie - probably more for us girls, but the guys might find Robin Williams one-liners amusing too
Nice film to watch. Hugh Grant as funny as ever!

Excellent film, especially loved the delivery room scenes, Robin Williams hysterical as a Dr. great stuff!
from start too finish but i love the grant comedy style
Just like music in a lift - nothing to get worked up about
Hugh Grant and Julianne Moore are both great but overall the film itself fail to live up to their reputation. Its funny in places though.
Well it started off well. Although Tom Arnold was REALLY annoying, he was supposed to be so that worked. Everything chugged along well enough - no surprises but entertaining and quite 'real' in parts in the reaction of a single man to the fears of parenthood. Then it just lost it and became a silly, slapstick caper. To be honest I've just about managed to forget it now but I wouldn't worry if you miss it. It'll save disappointment. Columbus rediscovering America?
really good viewing, especially if your a guy who is about to became a dad for the first time!
This is a great movie if pregnant women want to understand their partner's fears.
If you are not pregnant or being pregnant it won't mean much to you.
