    [Highly rated reviewer]

And yet I feel fully qualified to write a long, turgid review, expressing my puppy like excitement for something which I have never seen. Is this just me being a stickler for the rules, and a misanthrope, or would we all be better served by people who actually know what they're talking about.

    Come on people.

Amazing cast mix of rising stars, head liners and has beans, rubbish film, best avoided unless you have a desire to waste 110 minutes of your life.

  • Be Italian, then be bored...

    Rated - 1.5 stars

I adore musicals but have no love for this film. There is only one good song in the score, the fiery 'Be Italian' performed by Fergie of Black Eyed Peas fame. This is the song that first attracted me to watch the film. Unfortunately, the rest of the score fails to impress. A good cast wasted on a vapid, slow-moving and disappointing musical.

Musical drama about an italian film director. Hated it. Abandoned after a few minutes. A painful, annoying and tedious film. Unwatchable.

  • So far from the brilliant 8 1/2 by Fellini

    Rated - 3.0 stars
    By Long-neck (1 review) , 07 Feb 2013
Wonderful acting but once you have watched 81/2 by Fellini, this film is shadowed by it's masterpiece. Also although two songs are beautiful and dynamic, the rest of the score is clumsily written and awkward. Bit of a let down
